Farmington Hills Mercy wins CHSL Bishop Division championship
Farmington Hills Mercy won the Catholic High School League Bishop Division Girls Track and Field Championship. Mercy finished with 178 points. Dearborn Divine Child was second with 144 points. Bloomfield Hills Cranbrook Kingswood took third with 87.5 points. Mercy’s Mackenzie Sullivan was dominate in the meet, winning the 200-meter dash, 300-meter hurdles, and 400-meter dash. Mercy won the 4x800-meter relay. Mercy’s Mary Shah won the high jump. Abby Fush won the long jump. Kamerin Williams won the shot put. Joie Blakey was third, Anna Rimatzki fourth and Reagan Sullivan fifth in the 100-meter dash. Fush was second and Sullivan in the 100-meter hurdles. Anna Rimatzki took fifth in the 200-meter dash. Fush was third, Shah fifth, Allison Koehler sixth, and Sullivan eighth in the 300-meter hurdles. Milena Chevallier was fifth in the 400-meter dash. Madeline Kenney was fourth in the 800-meter run and fifth in the 1,600-meter run. Kathryn Kim was fourth and Klueg Clare (Rehema) eighth in the 3,200-meter run. Mercy was second in the 4x100-meter relay, third in the 4x200-meter relay, and fourth in the 4x400-meter relay. Williams was third in the discuss. Rachel Baja was second and Kim was third in the high jump. Alexis Butler finished eighth in the long jump. Grace Sneckenberger was eighth in the shot put.

SR. MARY LOUISE AFFHOLTER Award
The Sr. Mary Louise Affholter Award is named in honor of the late long-time principal and teacher at Detroit East Catholic, who was a tremendous supporter of educational athletes and of the Catholic League. She died in 1988. This award is presented annually to a female athlete, who has enjoyed academic success in the classroom and was a member of a varsity track & field team.
