University of Detroit Jesuit wins CHSL Bishop Division championship

University of Detroit Jesuit dominated sprint events to win the Catholic High School League Bishop Division Boys Track and Field Championship, its first since 2005. Jesuit finished with 124 points. Warren De La Salle Collegiate was second with 97 points. Detroit Catholic Central was third with 92 points. Jesuit’s Jaiden Reed won the 100-meter dash and 200-meter dash. Lawrence Gilliam won the 400-meter dash for the Cubs. The Jesuit team of Gilliam, Bryson Wade, Cameron Hendrix, and Josiah Graddick won the 4x400-meter relay. Devin Grantham finished second in the 100-meter dash. Jaden Jennings finished six and Ledarius Davis eighth in the 110-meter hurdles. Gilliam was second and Grantham third in the 200-meter dash. Jennings finished eighth in the 300-meter hurdles. Wade was third and Hendrix finished fourth in the 400-meter dash. Graddick finished eighth in the 800-meter run. Alec Koscielniak was fifth in the 3,200-meter run. Jesuit was third in both the 4x100-meter relay and the 4x800-meter relay. Micheal Mathis finished fourth in the discus. Shawn Smith was fifth in the high jump. Reed was fourth in the long jump. John Wenderski took fourth place in the shot put.
