Farmington Hills Mercy beats Allen Park Cabrini to earn CHSL Bishop Division title

Farmington Hills Mercy beat rival Allen Park Cabrini 10-0 in five innings to claim its first Catholic High School League Bishop Division Championship since 2016. Division 1 No. 6-ranked Mercy improved to 25-3 overall and finished a perfect 15-0 in the CHSL. Asia Barbato got the win on the mound, striking out five in four innings of work. Sophia Paluk earned a save, pitching the final inning and striking out two. Kendall Spivey hit a three-run home run and scored twice. Izzy Chaput had three hits, two RBI, and scored twice. Grace Nieto had a single and a triple and scored two runs.

Grosse Pointe Woods University Liggett wins first CHSL Cardinal Division championship

Grosse Pointe Woods University Liggett beat Macomb Lutheran North 8-7 in eight innings to claim its first Catholic High School League Cardinal Division Championship. Liggett had gone winless against Lutheran North in the regular season. Victoria Nugent's double in the top of the eighth scored Safiya Butler for the game-winning run. Nugent also got the complete-game victory on the mound and finished with four RBI.
