Ann Arbor Gabriel Richard/Greenhills edges University Liggett for title
Ann Arbor Father Gabriel Richard/Ann Arbor Greenhills edged defending champion Grosse Pointe Woods University Liggett 4-3 to win the Catholic High School League Boys Hockey Cardinal Division Championship. Jack Waldo scored the game-winner with 47 seconds left in the game. It was his second goal of the game. Liggett led 1-0 after one period and the game was tied at 3-3 after two periods. Will Monty made 29 saves to earn the victory in goal. Richard/Greenhills improved to 5-1-0 overall with the victory in the delayed season. Quinton Gove and Jack Lapinski also scored for Richard/Greenhills. Tommy Gebeck, Alec Leonard and Campbell Marchal scored for Liggett.
