The Knights earned their first Catholic High School League Bishop Division field hockey championship. Junior Else Kogel and senior Delaney Garvey scored for the Knights. Senior Audrey Flynn scored for the Mustangs. Freshman Bella Metry earned the victory in goal.

Bloomfield Hills Academy of the Sacred Heart 4, Wixom St. Catherine of Siena 3 (SO)

Junior Mary Grace Lehmkuhl scored the game-winner in a sudden-death overtime shootout and sophomore Ella Chow stopped four shots in the shootout to lift the Gazelles to their first title since 2015. The first shootout ended with the game still tied at 3-3 as Lehmkuhl and junior  Marisa Nafso scored for the Gazelles and senior Riley Johnson and junior Peyton Bennetts scored for the Stars. The game was scoreless at halftime. Junior Sara Isgro found the net for the Stars with 10:16 left in the third quarter. Junior Marisa Nafso tied the game for the Gazelles with 4:25 left in the quarter. The game remained at 1-1 through the end of regulation and after 10 minutes of 7-on-7 overtime, forcing the shootout. Chow was stellar in goal throughout the game, stopping numerous shots.

Riley Johnson scored two goals and Sarah Isgro added a goal for the Stars. Bella Lardin earned the shutout in goal.

Reagan Beatty got the game-winning goal on a tip off an assist from Katarina Jones for the Gazelles. Lilah Chow earned the shutout in goal.

 

Wixom St. Catherine of Siena beat Ann Arbor Father Gabriel Richard on Tuesday.

Bloomfield Hills Academy of the Sacred Heart beat Warren Regina on Tuesday.
