Farmington Hills Mercy earns CHSL Bishop Division championship

Junior Mikaela Williams scored with 2:37 left in the game to lift Farmington Hills Mercy past Bloomfield Hills Cranbrook Kingswood 1-0 for the Catholic High School League Bishop Division field hockey championship, it's first since 2012.

Ann Arbor Father Gabriel Richard wins first CHSL Cardinal Division championship

Sophomore Delaney Hughes scored two shootout goals to lift Ann Arbor Father Gabriel Richard past Wixom St. Catherine of Siena 2-1 (2-0 SO) for the Catholic High School League Cardinal Division field hockey championship, the first in the program's history. Freshman Lilli Vera's goal broke a 0-0 halftime tie to give Gabriel Richard a 1-0 lead. St. Catherine tied the game at 1-1 on a goal by senior Peyton Bennetts. The game ended at 1-1 in regulation and after the first overtime, forcing a shootout for the championship. Gabriel Richard got a penalty shot after an interference call during shootout. Hughes nailed the shot to put the Irish up 1-0. Hughes also scored on her regular turn in the shootout. Sophomore Emma Rushing earned the victory in goal, stopping four shots in the shootout.
